It is with great sadness that the family of Christopher Michael Costello announces his
passing on Monday, December 24, 2018, at Mather Hospital.
Although only 27 at the time of his death, Chris affected many people in his lifetime.
He was deeply committed to education and motivational speaking. Chris was attending
Suffolk Community College pursuing a future as a Chemical Dependency Counselor.
He was also passionately involved with Clean Slate Living, visiting surrounding schools
striving to teach and empower teenagers and young adults to live healthy lifestyles. He
challenged them to identify where they lack integrity and remove habits that may lead
them to moral and physical self destruction.
Chris was a loving son to his parents, Ann and Greg Pellegrino, and Russ Costello. He
will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Sarah (Max) Ivanov, Jessica (Steven)
Cicchetto, and Nicholas Pellegrino. Chris will also be fondly remembered by his nieces
Mila and Lily.
A Memorial Service in memory of Chris will be held on Sunday, December 30, at 5:30
p.m., at the Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle, 1 Higbie Drive, Smithtown.
Interment will take place on Monday, December 31, at 11:00 a.m., at the Washington
Memorial Park, 855 Canal Rd, Mt Sinai
