Louis Caputo

Born on February 14, 1947, Louis Caputo passed away on January 24th, 2019, at the age of 71, with his wife, Susan, by his side.Louis was born Valentines Day, February 14th, 1947 in Patterson, New Jersey to the late Jean Rapuano Caputo and Pasquale Caputo. Louis is survived by his sister Patty Mongillo, niece Maria Souss, nephew Gaetano Mongillo, along with three great nephews, one great niece, and an endless group of cousins. He was a graduate of Eastside High School in Patterson, New Jersey. He then served in the United States Army, as a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. Upon returning, he enjoyed a 34-year marriage to Patrice Caputo, raising her two daughters, Samantha Morra and Danielle Tiff as his own. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren who he adored, Alex Morra, Brittany Morra, Charlotte Tiff & Ethan Tiff.After 15 years of dedication on the job, Louis retired from his role as Suffolk County Court Officer where he made many acquaintances, and countless friends.After his wife’s passing, he found love again with Susan Cervone. Once more, he fathered and nurtured Susan’s two daughters, Jennifer Cervone and Amanda Cervone.He enjoyed warm weather and loved traveling to tropical places; Acapulco, Mexico being a special place for him and quite a few of his loved ones. Louis lived his entire life as a humanitarian. If anyone needed something, he was there to help. Louie had the ability to read what somebody needed before they even knew they needed it... then he had a way of making it happen for them. Known as ‘Lucky Louie,’ he had a lively and upbeat personality, touched the lives of everyone he ever met, and will be sorely missed by all.Rest in Peace, Louie. We Love You.
