We celebrate the life of Alfred T Fleming, who passed away on August 24, 2022 at age 93 in Saint James, NY. Loving husband to Marlene, his wife of 68 years, Beloved Dad to his children, Lorene (Gary) of Batavia NY, Donald, of Hicksville NY and Linda (Thomas) of Saint James NY.

Wonderful Grandpa to Brian, (Dana), Marlene, (Max), Kaitlin, (Robert), Stephen, Thomas (Stephanie), and Shannon (John), and last but not least, Great Grandpa to Althea, Eleanor, Everly and Amelia.

Alfred was born on November 6, 1928 in NYC's Hell's Kitchen to Edmund and Catherine Fleming (nee Desmond). Alfred was a veteran of WWII serving as a Private First Class in the 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines, 2nd Marine Division

Upon his honorable discharge Alfred worked at numerous positions (Decca Records, Meat Packer) in the city until finally settling down as an Installation Specialist for the New York Telephone Company where he worked for 37 years when he retired as a District Manager in 1988.

Alfred was a longtime resident of Saint James and an active member and faithful parishioner of Saint Phillips and James RCC where he was a Eucharistic Minister providing the residents of St, James Rehabilitation and Health Center with access to their church. Alfred was also a member of the Saint James Knights of Columbus.

He loved his God and the church, his country and flag. He loved that he was able to serve in the US Marine Corps

He loved his family and friends that we had and all the joy that we shared together. It was a wonderful life!
