KOHART – Alfred Smith, Jr., 74 years old, of Garden City, on June 28, 2022. Beloved eldest son of the late Alfred S. and lateBarbara S. Kohart. Devoted and loving brother to his  sister Barbara Kohart Kleine and brother David Stewart Kohart. Trusted and loved brother-in-law to Denise C. Kohart and  MarkKleine. He was a wonderful, caring Uncle to Adrienne KohartHubbard and husband, Matthew; Lindsay Kohart McDermott and husband, Sean; Alfred Stewart Kohart and wife, Samantha; and Calvin Cutrone Kohart who predeceased him. Adoring and proud Grand Uncle to Madeline, Matthew, David, Evelyn, Emma and Samuel. More wonderful cousins and relatives than can be counted. Al resided in Garden City for almost his entire life and was a well-known, respected real estate salesperson with Daniel Gale Sotheby's at the time of his passing. Prior to his real estate career, he worked at ABC / Cap Cities / Disney for over thirty years and retired as  Director of Long Range Financial Planning. A celebration of Al's life will be held at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City on Saturday, July 2nd at 10:30 AM. Reception immediately following for family and friends.Interment will be private.
