Ann Castellana (Bertocchi), age 86, of Ronkonkoma, N.Y. died peacefully surrounded by her family on January 24, 2023, after a long battle with dementia.  Ann is survived by her daughter Catherine and her husband Steve, her grandson Steven, granddaughter Stephanie and her loving dog Ginger.  Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband Vincent Castellana, her parents Lorenzo and Maria (Zeziola) Bertocchi and her brother, Jack Bertocchi.  Ann, affectionately known by family and friends as "Anna", was born to Italian immigrant parents on October 26, 1936 and raised in Mount Vernon, N.Y.  She attended school there and went on to graduate from A.B. Davis High School.  Upon graduation, she worked at a local bank where she met her husband Vincent.  She and Vincent began a life together and settled in Mount Vernon raising their children.  Ann also worked for Mario Industries in Mount Vernon until she retired and moved to Ronkonkoma, N.Y. to live with her daughter Catherine.  Ann's life has touched the lives of many with her generous heart.  She was a truly friendly, outgoing person and always made everyone feel welcome.  Family was everything to Ann.  She and her grandson Steven had a very special relationship as they lived together until her passing.  They were extremely close and made a lot of great memories along the way.  Her family and friends are blessed with many fond memories of her generous nature and love of life.  Ann's passion was baking.  She loved to bake her Italian cheesecake, Italian cookies and her famous bowties amongst many other goodies.  Ann also loved to garden.
