Ann E.
Simeti
Feb 6, 1933 — Mar 1, 2023
Ann Simeti passed away peacefully on March 1, 2023 at the age of 90 in the presence of her son Robert and surrounded by her incredible and loving Whisper Woods of Smithtown family. Ann was born in Brooklyn, NY to John and Lucy DeTuro on February 6, 1933. She married her late husband Leonard Simeti on January 14, 1956 in Brooklyn, NY. Ann and Len moved to Hauppauge in 1967 where they raised their two children, Linda and Robert. Ann was a mutual clerk at NYRA where she was a proud union member. She had a large personality with a wonderful sense of humor who enjoyed an all too frequent visit to Atlantic City and in later years to Foxwoods Casino and Mohegan Sun. She also enjoyed travel and was very fond of family vacations, specifically annual holiday trips to Hershey Park and cruises, where she created many beautiful and lasting memories for her family. Her greatest joy was family, most especially her 4 grandsons, and her 2 great granddaughters, Raeya and Cecilia.
Ann was predeceased by her husband Leonard Simeti who passed away suddenly on May 27, 2010. Ann is survived by her daughter Linda Lambrecht and her husband Peter Lambrecht and their son John Lambrecht, his wife Kate and their daughter Cecilia. Ann is also survived by her son Robert and his 3 sons Christopher, Robert and his wife Stephanie and their daughter Raeya, and Matthew who is to be married to Alexandra Oshinsky on May 13, 2023 as well as her grandsons' mother, Ellen Simeti. May God rest her beautiful soul and comfort those who are grieving her loss.
Ann loved children and regularly donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Ann's memory to her favorite charity.
