Obituary

Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to Anthony Iannello, 89, of Stony Brook. He passed on Monday, July 25, 2022.

Anthony served in the armed forces during the Korean War. After serving his country, he married the love of his life, Beatrice, and was happily married for 66 years.

He is survived by his wife Beatrice, three children: Chris, Victor and Andrea, eight grandchildren: Michael, Jessica, Courtney, Natalie, Grant, Julia, Diana and Frankie, and his brother Johnny. His sister, Carol, passed two years ago.

Anthony will be remembered for his many passions in life. He loved his music and played the saxophone and clarinet throughout his life. He loved the Yankees, Giants, his vegetable garden, his pool and pond, and traveling on his many cruises with his wife.

But the one thing Anthony cherished most was his family. He was the happiest when he was surrounded by them. He had a special bond with his grandchildren who brought him his greatest joy. He would beam with pride when he attended their school concerts, plays, sporting events, dance recitals, award ceremonies and graduations. His grandchildren loved him dearly as well.

He will be greatly missed and forever loved. Rest In Peace and we look forward to the day when we are all reunited with you. We love you.
