Its with broken hearts that we say goodbye to Antonia (known as Antonietta) Ferri Sardaro, who passed away on Saturday July 23rd. Antonietta was born in Sora, Italy on October 31, 1933.  She moved to the US with her family in the 1950s and settled in Jamaica Queens.  During her years, she moved to several different places in New York, and also to Toronto, Canada and Phoenix, Arizona. She was a loving wife, mother of 2 children, Gina Van Son and Anna Maria Ferrandino, son-in-law John Van Son.  She was the beloved sister of Larry and Mary Ferri, Peter and Sandy Ferri, Umberto (Al) and Liz Ferri, and Rocca and Phil Fortunato. Antonietta (Nana) was adored by her grandchildren John Van Son, and Kathryn Van Son, and enjoyed being a big part of their lives. Nana was devoted to her family and loved cleaning and cooking.  She enjoyed telling stories about her Italian background and also enjoyed Italian music from musicians such as Andrea Bocelli.  She also loved Tom Jones and Englebert Humperdinck In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to one of the following organizations: American Heart Association: heart.org Alzheimer's Association: alz.org
