We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Carmen MacArthur of Nissequogue, a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Carmen passed at age 85 on August 28th, surrounded by her loved ones after dealing with a chronic heart condition.

The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.

Our mother was a wonderful, caring, and merciful woman who was always there for us in all aspects and moments of our lives, in word, deed and loving support. She enjoyed a large family of brothers and sisters, had many friends, and was a well-loved member of the community and her congregation. She was predeceased by her husband, our father Darrel, and is survived by us, her 3 children Darrel, Sandra, and Bruce and their families with her 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. As a loyal member of her congregation, she passed away holding firm to her strong beliefs as a Jehovah's Witness and demonstrating to her loving family how God's spirit and direction provided her great comfort in her final moments.

She will be forever missed by her family, friends, and those that she touched that we are unaware of.
