Charles J. Hoock Jr. (Charlie) passed away peacefully on November 28, 2022 at the age of 79.  He was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 16, 1943.  He grew up in Westbury, NY, but finished his last year of high school in California, graduating from Hawthorne High School just outside Los Angeles in 1961.  Charlie was an accomplished high school athlete competing on the varsity water polo and wrestling teams.

After high school he moved back to NY where he owned two gas stations until he was drafted into the US Army in 1965.  He was honorably discharged in 1967.  Soon after he met and married Patricia M. Conte of Brooklyn, NY and shortly after begun their life as parents raising two children in Smithtown, NY.

He had an incredibly strong worth ethic that led to jobs on the stock exchange, an electrician for the NYC Transit Authority and ultimately an audio products production manager before his retirement.

He was a loving father that put his family first.  He loved cars (all of them), but his favorite was his 1961 Corvette convertible.  He loved sports, especially his Yankees.  Mickey Mantle was his childhood hero.

Charlie was a devout Catholic who loved to study the bible and the history of religion.  He will forever be remembered for his kindness, humbleness and his thirst to always keep learning.

He is survived by his son Charles J. Hoock III of Alpharetta, GA, daughter Jennifer A. Hoock of Ronkonkoma, NY, daughter-in-law Meredith B. Hoock and granddaughter Morgan B. Hoock of Alpharetta, GA.
