Dolores M. Gargan

April 2, 1929 - August 3, 2021

Dolores M. Gargan of Hicksville, New York, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2021 at 92 years of age.  Dolores was the daughter of the late Edward and Eleanor Arnoldi and sister of the late Ruth Kallman.   Loving and devoted wife of the late James P. Gargan, beloved mother of Sharon (Daniel) Rysanek, Ruth (Ronald) Klinger, Colleen (Ted) Kohnen, Kathleen (John) Plescia, Edward (Doris) Gargan, Mary (James) Viviani, James (Aristea) Gargan and Christine (Raymond) Casiano. Beloved grandmother of 20 wonderful grandchildren and 14 adorable great-grandchildren. Dolores was a proud stay-at-home mom who loved her family and was a dedicated mother first and foremost.  She loved to cook and kept an immaculate house.  Dolores loved to travel.  She always looked forward to her annual trips to Chestertown, New York with her family.  She loved to drive and for several years did all the driving across the country to visit family in Berkeley, California making many stops to enjoy the beautiful scenic areas. She even made one trip across the Atlantic to Ireland.

She will be missed and will be in our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her memory to St. Jude Hospital.
