George Pinnata passed away peacefully at home on November 9, 2022 at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife Mary T. Pinnata of Stony Brook, N.Y., his  7 children -Mark  (wife Mary), Julie (husband Charlie), John, Robert (wife Ann), Michael (wife Jennifer), Jennifer, and Maria (husband James), his 10 grandchildren- Ryan, Courtney, Patrick, Savannah, Jane, Lexi, Bridget, Jack, Cian, and Jake, and his 2 great-grandchildren Rowan and Nolan. He is predeceased by his parents Charles and Mary Pignata and sisters Marie and Annette.

George was a long time parishioner of Saints Philip and James Catholic Church, a retired navy veteran and mathematics professor at Suffolk Community College. He was an avid swimmer, lover of the outdoors, a great Yankee baseball and College football fan, and adored his family immensely.
