Gerard Bishop passed away on February 24th after a long battle with 9-11 related cancer. Jerry was born on November 18th, 1957 in Farmingdale NY. His kindness and generosity along with his sense of humor will be missed. As his family we grieve our loss but take comfort in knowing he is at peace and will continue to live in our hearts.

Jerry graduated from Lynbrook High School in 1975 where his best sport was wrestling. The core group of friends from high school lasted throughout his life. He graduated from SUNY Albany and went on to a career in the NYPD. He retired as a Lieutenant in 2003. He was dedicated to helping those around him.

There are a number of charities that were close to his heart. In lieu of flowers his wish is a donation to any of the following- St. Jude, Shriners Hospital, Tunnel to Towers, Disabled American Veterans, and the Special Olympics.
