Warm, compassionate and devoted to her family is how those who knew Janice Holzmann described her.

Janice passed away on July 26, 2022 at the age of 83. Wife of the late Dean Holzmann, she was the proud mother of Karen, Dean and Lynn, son-in-laws Bob and John and daughter-in-law Jola. She was the beloved sister of the late Edward Leonard. Janice was adored by her grandchildren Danielle, Jenna, Jamie, Samantha, Dean George, Christopher and Peter.

Janice worked most of her career in banking in the adjustment department at Marine Midland Bank.  In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her flower garden brought her much joy and in retirement, she and her husband travelled to tropical destinations with family and friends.

The final years of Janice's life were spent at the Bellhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. She never lost her fun loving joy for life, and quickly became a distinctive member of the Bellhaven family. She was known for walking into rooms of other residents to strike up a conversation. If she became tired, she would simply lay down in an available bed and take a nap. For that reason, she affectionately received the nickname "Goldilocks". The staff at the facility embraced her positive attitude and she enriched their lives just as she had enriched the life of everyone she touched.
