Ekberg, John Paul III on March 4, 2021 Born in St. Louis, MO in 1947. Long time resident of Greenwich, CT; more recently of Setauket, NY.  Beloved spouse of Barbara McKenzie. Loving father of Tess Bremer and her husband Mark. Cherished "Papou" of Clara Bremer. Devoted son of Peggy Ekberg and the late John Paul Ekberg, Jr. John is also survived by his dear sisters Marla Barbin (Ry), Susan Stiritz (Bill), Jill Ryan (Ken) and many nieces and nephews. John was a distinguished and accomplished lawyer in Greenwich, CT; practicing family law for many years.  He also had the prestigious honor of being admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court Bar. John took great pride in being a member of the Indian Harbor Yacht Club in Greenwich, CT for more than 40 years.  He was an avid sailor with a passion for competitive sailing. John captained his devoted crew of Foolish Pleasure to many racing victories throughout the years. John will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to be a part of his life. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital and the American Heart Association.
