Joseph Vallone, 78, died unexpectedly in his home in Fort Salonga, NY on March 5, 2022. Joseph was survived by his 3 children Jennifer, Nicole and Michael and his grandson Jaxon Joseph.

Joseph was born August 19, 1943 to Benedetta Pipitone Vallone and Vito Vallone. Joseph's older brother, Mario Vallone, died in 1998.

Joseph was born in Alcamo, Sicily and at 4 years old he came to America with his mother and family. His father and brother had already moved to Brooklyn, NY and met them at the Ellis Island gate.

Joe went to West Hempstead High School. Joe received his cosmetology license in Queens, NY.  He was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era and served as a Radio Operator. Joseph, also studied English and Psychology at Nassau Community College.

Joseph met his first wife and mother of his children, Theresa Costagliola Vallone in Long Beach, NY. Joe and Theresa were married in 1971. Their first home was in Huntington Station, NY. They lived in Dix Hills, NY next but settled in Kings Park, NY for most of the children's school years in Smithtown Central School District. Joseph bought his final home in Fort Salonga, NY in 1999.

Joseph opened his first hair salon, Hair Art in 1970 by Hofstra University. Hair Art was one of the first unisex hair salons on Long Island. He had a vertical blinds business in the late 80's early 90's called JNM Verticals. In 1992 he opened his final hair salon on Main Street in Smithtown, NY called Genesis Hair Studio. When Joseph retired he followed his love and admiration of music and became part of the road crew for one of his favorite bands.

Joseph was very handy, young at heart and loved being up to date with the latest technological devices. Joe was a lover of social media, live music, cooking, family and his friends.

Joseph will be deeply missed. He will live on in the hearts and minds of his family, friends and all who knew him.

Peace and love forever dad.
