Marty is survived by his wife Pamela, his daughter Chelsea (partner Jon), his son Martin (wife Elise), his sister Michele Rizzo, brother Alan Hertzner and a loving extended family.

Marty was born in the lower east side of Manhattan, New York. After high school he served his country in the army honorably. After the army, he became a professional diver and lived in Texas. He owned a horse, named Yankee, and became a trophy winning barrel racer. Ending his dive career he moved back to his family home in New York. While on vacation in Mexico he met his wife, Pam! They were happily married for 36 years living in St. James, New York. During this time, he had a successful 30 year career with Cablevision. Following his retirement, he became the Director of Transportation of Tri-State Towing, a title he made up and everyone accepted! His favorite retirement activity was riding his new horse Dakota and even winning best in show, in the 55+ category.

Marty's legacy was that he was a good friend, partner, father and provider for his family.
