Patrick J. Byrne

Age 60 of Melbourne, FL.

Passed suddenly on August 29, 2022 in Harrisville, N.Y.

Predeceased by cherished parents Daniel and Theresa (nee McGlynn).

Survived by loving siblings Connell (Diane Brennan), Kathleen Gioconda and Brian as well as his aunt Mary Papp and many cousins, friends and former coworkers.

Patrick was born in Manhattan and was raised in Stony Brook. After graduating from Ward Melville High School in East Setauket he attended Suffolk County Community College in Selden and then Manhattan College where he graduated with a degree in Engineering. He went to work for Grumman and continued his career with them relocating to Melbourne, FL. in the mid 1990's when they were acquired by Northrop Aircraft.

Patrick was a successful entrepreneur who decided to retire early at age 55 to enjoy the fruits of his labor and the freedom to pursue his love of sailing, skiing, fast cars and most recently anything lakeside at his upstate cabin.

He would want to be remembered most for his belief in the old ethic of hard work. Those who knew him would agree he was a loyal employee, a generous friend, an honest man, a landlord who cultivated an atmosphere of respect and a proud American .

Described as a "great guy" he was detail oriented, smart, possessed a wonderful sense of humor and could fix anything in need of fixing.
