Obituary

Robert E. Brady

Stoney Brook & Montauk, Long Island

Survived by wife Carol Combader-Brady, sister Marilyn Brady-Sullivan, nephew Neil Sullivan and niece Megan Sullivan.

He was raised in Flushing and Elmhurst, NY and spent the last 47 years in NYC.

Bob was drafted into the U.S. Army from 1966-1968. He was a Sergeant Spec 5 and spent his time in Fort Gordon, Georgia in the finance corp.

After graduating from his beloved Power Memorial High School, he entered NY Life Insurance Company at the age of 17 yrs., where he said he would stay until he found himself. After the 2 years of military service, he went back to New York Life Insurance Company. While working in the day, he continued his studies at night and graduated from The College of Insurance, now Pace University. Bob climbed the career ladder and became the VP of Administration for the entire Mutual Funds Division of New York Life. He retired as the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director after 44yrs with the company.

Bob's hobbies include #1 working hard, playing and watching sports (loved the NY Yankees and the NY Giants), reading, going to restaurants, being with his wife of 47 years, whom he met when they were both 13 yrs old (what a love story). He loved sitting on his deck in Montauk overlooking the sunset with a Johnnie Walker in his hand.
