Robert "Bob" Reimers of Stony Brook, NY, 88, passed away on December 29,2020 following a long illness. He was born and raised in Brooklyn ,NY, to August and Regina Reimers. He is survived by his wife, Catherine, and his children Gregory (Carolyn), Christopher (Kelly), Eileen  Buzy  (Peter) and Laura and his stepdaughters, Donna Boudreaux (Bryan) and Laura Suhovsky (Christopher). He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary, his son, Mark, and his brother, Kenneth. He adored and was adored by his 14 grandchildren                                                                                                                       Bob was a veteran of the United States Army. He served during the Korean war. He was a proud graduate of St. John's University and had a long career as an Office Manager for Crum and Forster. Bob loved to travel, bird watch, take train rides and enjoy beautiful sunsets with his favorite cocktail in hand. He was an avid Mets and Jets fan! Most of all, Bob loved spending time with his family.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             He will be greatly missed.
