In celebration of the life of Rosemary A. Culhane (Gugliotta), 93, who died on Thursday, May 25, 2023, in Smithtown, NY.  Born August 27, 1929, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Leonard Gugliotta and Anita Gugliotta Maher.

Rosemary attended St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn, NY.  She met and fell in love with William F. Culhane while he was serving in the U.S. Airforce and was married on April 11, 1953.  They moved to Smithtown, NY approximately 65 years ago and called it home until the time of their passing.  Rosemary loved the Smithtown community and worked in local real estate, most recently at Coldwell Banker of Smithtown until the age of 90.

She is preceded in death by her husband William F. Culhane (2004) and son Steven S. Culhane (2006).  She is survived by her three daughters: Eve Culhane, Gael Culhane Martinez, Claudia Lasurdo, sons-in-law Vincent Martinez and Paul Lasurdo.  Rosemary also leaves behind six grandchildren: Charles Brogan, Liam Lasurdo, Ethan Lasurdo, Erin Ryder Culhane, Caitlin Dantzic, Justine Culhane-Holley, and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 7:00pm – 9:00pm at St. James Funeral Home, 829 Middle Country Rd, St James, NY 11780.  Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 10:30am at Saints Phillip and James Church, One Carow Place, St. James, New York 11780.
