Susan C. Fox, 65, of Smithtown, New York, was taken by our Lord on Sunday, September 6, 2020. Beloved wife to her husband of 40 years, Edward J. Fox. Devoted and proud mother of her two sons, Benjamin E. Fox and Kenneth E. Fox, whom she cherished and adored. She is also survived by her two loving sisters Karen Harrington and Nancy Cooney, and her brother, Dennis Cooney. Sue loved to love people. She always had a smile on her face. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Romans 12:12, "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Even during her five-year battle with cancer, Sue, a devout Lutheran, compassionately and consistently prayed for the needs of others. She maintained a list of more than 25 people that she would pray for each day. Susan retired from the NYS Court System as an Associate Court Clerk after 30 years of service. "Suzy", who had a reputation for always being ready to help, was lovingly referred to as "the fixer" by her colleagues. She found great joy in helping others, whether personally or professionally.
