Obituary

Theodora Barbara Mennella, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ upon a beautiful sunrise on June 8, 2021 at the age of 79. She was born in NY, NY, on December 30, 1941. She married her soulmate, her one and only sweetheart since the age of 14, Salvatore (Bob) on June 24, 1961. Together, they raised three beautiful, successful children who have a very close bond which is a reflection of "Tedi" and "Sal". "Tedi" loved her family very much. Her loyalty and dedication to the ones she loved was unprecedented. Her family was her life and most important to her. "Tedi" was predeceased by her husband Salvatore, her loving brother Nicholas, her sister Anna, cousins Teresa, Richie, Carol, Pat, in-laws Pat and Lori, nieces Erin and Samantha, her parents Theodore (Johnny) and Loretta, her great grandmother Laura (Nana) and her favorite Aunt Theresa. "Tedi" is survived by her sons Robert and Michael, her daughter Donna, her grandchildren Michael (Mikey), Allisya (Allie), Anthony (Tony), and Matthew (Matty), her brother Tony, her nephews Frankie and John, her nieces Cheryl, Carole and Nicole, her cousins Barbara, Linda, and her grand dogs Tootsie, Bella, and Diesel. She is also survived by Nicholas's wife Nancy, Robert's wife Diane (who she considered a second daughter), Donna's husband Mitch, her daughters in law Donna and Koula, her son in law Steven, other family and her many friends. Tedi loved life and was a bundle of energy wherever she went. She was very strong, intelligent, responsible, organized, caring, honest, genuine and made a positive and lasting imprint on all those she met. She was proud of and selflessly loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. The bond she had with her grandchildren will make an everlasting impact on their lives. She guided her children and grandchildren to embrace the importance of education, success and unconditional love for family. She had a tremendous impact in aiding her sons to become medical doctors and daughter to become the Firm Administrator to a very successful law firm. She had an immense influence on her grandchildren's careers. Mikey has a Masters in psychology and is pursuing his PhD, Allisya is a Certified Paralegal and is pursuing law school to become an attorney, Matthew is currently in a Masters' program for architectural engineering, and Tony owns a successful small business. Tedi loved to dance and laugh and was always the life of the party. Our hope is that she is dancing with her husband amongst her family and friends in heaven. Tedi was the epitome of strength from birth, throughout her childhood, throughout young, middle and late adulthood until the very last breath she took in the arms of her children who helped guide her back into the arms of her loving husband and into the gates of heaven.
