Thomas J. Collins, retired Captain FDNY passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at his home in Smithtown, NY. Beloved husband of Muriel I. Collins for 62 years. Cherished father of Dennis (Mary), Elizabeth Eghrari (Mark), Deirdre Auchincloss (Paul), Christopher, and Caroline (deceased). Grandfather of Liam and Sarah Collins, Ryan and Kevin Eghrari, and Meaghan, Thomas and John Auchincloss. Tom is also survived by his siblings William and Sister Hannah of the Holy Union Sisters and sister-inlaw Margaret Hughes. Tom is predeceased by his brother Dennis. Adored Uncle of Sean and Siobhan. Tom graduated from St. Ann's Academy and Long Island University. He served as an USMC Officer before joining the FDNY.
