Thomas M.
Venditti
Oct 5, 1944 — Jul 21, 2022
Lake Grove
Thomas Venditti was born on October 5, 1944, the oldest son of Achille and Marie Venditti. He is survived by his wife Victoria (Vicki) Venditti; his three daughters, Denise Marsteller, Laura Venditti-DeFilippis, and Christina Coppola; and four grandsons, Joshua, Ian, Blaise, and Vincent. He was a wonderful husband, father, and Pop. To say he will be sorely missed is an understatement.
Tom was a successful businessman, avid reader, and devoted family man. He and Vicki enjoyed 58 wonderful years of marriage. He was kind and generous to the people he knew, and to many, he didn't. He once paid for a complete stranger's funeral after reading a story in the local paper.
Tom had a love of the natural sciences, specifically astronomy and geology. Some of Denise's, Laura's, and Christina's earliest memories are of looking up at the night sky through the telescope with their dad and learning about stars, planets, and galaxies (don't even get him started on black holes and quasars!).
His rock collection includes samples from around the world. On a family trip to Hawaii, he tromped through the middle of a national park in all his glory looking for "bug fossils." Every time he found one, he excitedly explained in great detail what the fossil was and what kind of rock it was found on. The girls just wanted to get back to the beach…
Our prayer for our wonderful husband and daddy, and Pop: May you stroll through heaven free of pain, bursting with energy and good health. May you be discovering new rocks, new stars, and new galaxies. You will forever be in our hearts. Whenever we look up at the sky, we will think of you and smile.
