We are devastated to announce the passing of Vivian Amato at the age of 88 after a battle with cancer. Vivian was born September 1, 1932 to parents Elizabeth, and Neil. She grew up in Brooklyn with her cousins and enjoyed living close to family. She married her childhood sweetheart Thomas Amato and remained married for 56 years before his passing. Thomas and Vivian had two beloved daughters, Diane and Laura. Vivian is survived by her daughter Laura, and son in laws, Scott and Richard, her grandchildren Christopher, Cody, Scott, and Danielle, and her great grandson Wyatt.

She was the matriarch of her family, and loved spending time with her cousins, children, and grandchildren. She relished time with her many friends who shared in her vibrant spirit. Anyone who knew Vivian knew she found value in her work. First as a restaurant manager at Bobby Rubinos, and then as a childcare aide at Mt. Pleasant Elementary. She was the life of the party and brought humor and light to any room she entered. She was one of a kind in every way and will be remembered. She touched all those who knew her, she will be greatly missed.
