Alf Gilbert Reinertsen
April 1932 - July 30, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alf Gilbert Reinertsen, who passed away peacefully at the age of 93. Born in Brooklyn, New York, in April of 1932, Alf lived a full and meaningful life, shaped by his deep sense of dedication and love for his family.
Alf spent his career with the New York Telephone Company, where he worked for several decades, building a legacy of hard work and commitment. He was known for his strong work ethic and his unwavering loyalty, both in his professional life and at home.
Alf was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Helen, with whom he shared many happy years.
Together, they moved to Long Island, where they raised their four daughters: Alf's love for his family was immeasurable, and he found great joy in being a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, each of whom he cherished deeply.
Though Alf was a man of few words, his actions spoke volumes. His dedication to his family and his quiet strength were the foundation of the close-knit family he built. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose presence will be sorely missed but whose memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
