Ana Walker Obituary

Ana O. Lopez Walker, of Nesconset, N.Y., passed away on April 25, 2020. Born in El Salvador, Ana immigrated to the USA (NYC) in the late 1950’s. Ana eventually settled in Long Island and raised her family. Loving wife of, Louis, beloved mother of Nancy (Paul) Anderson of Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.; Steve (Elizabeth) Walker of Brentwood, N.Y.; and Brenda (Jim) DeEsso of Yorktown Heights, N.Y. Loving grandmother of Hunter and Skylar Anderson and Arianna and Colin DeEsso.

Ana had a natural way of touching the lives of others through her compassion, generosity and kindness. Ana met her husband Louis through mutual friends and on June 24, 1967, they married. She devoted her life to her family both immediate and extended. She enjoyed to cook and host in her home. She also enjoyed the slot machines at the casinos. Ana worked in the beauty industry as a hair dresser and in her later years as a nail and wax technician. She was a practicing Catholic who highly regarded her religion and faith. Ana was a woman who demonstrated courage, strength, independence and humility.

A memorial service will not be held at this time, but a celebration of life will be held at an underdetermined date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests to donations to the Alzheimer’s Association and/or The Hospice House of East Northport, NY.
