It is with profound and unimaginable sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected and tragic passing of Anna Theresa Lo Presti on May 23, 2025 at the age of 63. Annie, as she was affectionately known, was a radiant light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Born in Flushing, Queens on August 9, 1961 and a resident of Saint James, New York at the time of her passing, Anna was a devoted daughter to Rosemarie (preceded in passing) and Louis Mazzotta; a loving and nurturing wife to Salvatore Lo Presti for the past 26 years; a tenderly adoring and fervently dedicated mom to Nicholas Lo Presti and her four-legged babies Bailey, Zeke & Bella; a sister to Angela Mazzotta, Diane Mazzotta and Christine Mazzotta; an aunt to Kristal Bajema, Nicklas Bajema; Daniel Sapp, Kim Sapp, Brynn Sapp, Greyson Sapp; Brian Sapp, Ericha Sapp, Nathaniel Sapp and Theodore Sapp; a daughter-in-law to Vita and Onofrio Lo Presti (preceded in passing); a sister-in-law to Rosalie Lo Presti, Joseph Lo Presti and Martha Lo Presti; an aunt to Laurel Fratus, Vince Fratus, Mariah Fratus, Vince Fratus, Jr.; Alyssa Lo Presti, Jonathan Lo Presti, Leslie Hapin, Mel Hapin and Kingston Hapin. Professionally, Anna was a highly committed employee at the American Institute of Physics (A.I.P.) for over 25 years, where she excelled as a Manager of Content Development & Content Operations and as a Manager of A.I.P. Author Services. Blessed with a green thumb, in her spare time, Anna was an avid gardener and enjoyed planting flowers and trees to beautify her property. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love and compassion. Anna was empathic, warm, and loving, carried deep religious beliefs, an unwavering faith in God Almighty, and an immeasurable love of nature and animals. She was a luminous, irreplaceable light in the world. Her passing has left a tremendous and inconsolable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that through this unfathomable loss and grieving process, you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and loved forever.
