Anne Notarnicola, 89, formerly of Commack, New York, passed away peacefully on October 16th in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She spent the final years of her life in the loving care of her daughter Cathy and her partner Nancy Peralta. Anne daughter of Frank and Ruth DiNorci of Sora, Italy, was born and raised in Washington, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Albert, whom she married in 1950. Together they raised five children on Long Island, before moving to Holmdel, New Jersey. Anne is survived by three sisters, Jenny Paolozzi, Helen Yaboni, and Mary Lupo as well as her children Rosanne Granite, Teresa Gennarelli, Andrea Brogan, Cathy Notarnicola, Albert Notarnicola and her sister-in-law, Marisa Notarnicola. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and will be sorely missed by her numerous nieces and nephews. Anne was the quintessential homemaker, a devoted wife and mother known for her marvelous Italian cooking, being a wine lover and a most generous hostess.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 26 from 3:00 to 6:00, at St. James Funeral Home, 829 Middle Country Road, St. James, NY 11780. Funeral Mass will take place Tuesday, October 27 at St. Patrick's Church, in Smithtown and burial to follow at Commack Cemetery,
