Antonio Famiglietti Obituary

Antonio Famiglietti, affectionately known as Tony, 86, of Bethpage, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Tony was born January 28, 1939, in Sturno, Italy and immigrated to NY as a teenager with his parents. He lived in Glen Cove and eventually moved to Bethpage where he bought the home he lived in until the end of his days.  He is the son of Rocco and Michelina, his beloved parents.

Tony was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, cousin and caring brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends that loved him. He believed strongly in family loyalty.

In addition to his parents Tony was pre-deceased by his beloved sisters, Lina (Madre Tekla), Gilda and Teresa and his brother, Angelo. Those left to cherish the memory of Tony are his children, Michele Colacino, Audra Mrini and her husband Mark, and Kyle and his wife Sharon; grandchildren, Katie, Ryan, Emma, Timmy, Luke, Logan, Angelina and Ava.

Tony served in the army as a medic and loved that work, especially his time in Korea. Tony was a gifted tailor and salesman for the majority of his career.  He was charismatic and loyal to his customers.  He was a hard worker all his days. We have lots of Tony-isms to make us laugh and will continue these traditions. He enjoyed spending time with his family playing Scopa and May I card games, bowling, working in the yard, and cooking. He was forever committed and generous to all, especially his family and the Sisters of Santa Birgitta.

Services in his honor will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at St. James Funeral Home in St. James, NY 4-8 pm. A service will be held at the St James funeral home on Saturday March 15, 2025 at 10am followed by the burial at Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum in Farmingdale at 11:30am.
