Carl J. Gerfo

With a profound sense of pain and loss we announce the passing of Carl J. Gerfo, beloved husband for 62 years of the former Vivian Piccirillo, father of Carl E, spouse Nancy, Randy, and Marissa and spouse Keith.  He was an amazing Pop Pop to Zachary, Kyle, Michael and Jenna. His loved ones included nieces, nephews, and a huge group of friends and colleagues whose lives he touched. He was born in Brooklyn, attended City College of New York and served proudly in the United States Army.  He was truly a good American and a great student of our country’s history. After the birth of their first child the family moved to East Northport and then St. James when they resided for over 50 years.

Carl was the very loyal employee of Moore Business Forms for 38 years where he achieved great success not only in sales of his own but in mentoring so many others, He continued his career with Merchant Pro Express.  He was sincere, trustworthy and touched every person with whom he connected.

His favorite activities were skiing, boating and most of all spending quality time with family and friends. He owned boats since he was a teenager.  He always had things to do. He loved his grandchildren with great passion and was always interested in their lives.  Time spent with his home is Vermont was especially precious and he could putter around all day.

His family and friends will hold in our hearts all the life lessons he taught us and we will miss him forever.
