Carmine Gaglione
1/18/1932- 9/24/21 age 89
Carmine passed away on 9/24 at home surrounded by his loving family. He slipped away holding the hand of his loving wife, whom he was with for 65 years, while reciting the rosary.
Carmine is survived by his loving wife Filomena, his daughter Assunta Cosentino married to Edward Cosentino, his son Elia Gaglione married to Denise Gaglione and his grandchildren Michael, Cristina, Danielle and Melissa.
Carmine came from a humble background in Sperone, Italy and immigrated to the U.S. on 3/17/73 to provide a better life and future for his family. His family joined him on July of 1973 in Bethpage where he began his American Dream.
With the help of his wife and son and lots of hard work and determination he established a successful landscaping business for which he worked well into his 70’s.
Carmine was an amazing gardener, farmer, (he could grow anything anywhere)wine maker, (we drank his last year’s batch the day that he passed and we all agreed it was one of his best)card player, bocce played, ( although his brothers might claim to be better) and to those who had the privilege to know his sense of humor, the greatest shoemaker!
Carmine laughed and lived life has hard has he worked, and that says a lot. He was surrounded by friends and family that loved him as hard and as much as he worked. He will be missed by all with the hope to be blessed with his company in our next life.
