Carmine Terrana was a man of many memories, many smiles, and much love. He adored his family with all his heart and always made them his top priority. He always lit up the room with his presence and his amplifying voice. He was loud, but his loudness was warm, filled with much love and care. He also expressed his love through his endless stories filled with laughter. He adored and honored his family with such unconditional love.
Carmine Terrana, 85, of West Babylon, passed away on November 19, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on November 3, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York, Carmine grew up alongside his two siblings and married the love of his life, Carol Terrana, in 1964. Together they built a warm and joyful home filled with family, food, music, cards, and laughter.
Carmine is survived by his devoted wife of almost 62 years and his children Tammy Link and John (Kristin) Terrana and his five grandchildren, who were the light of his life: Lauren Link (Gina Perrotta), Jason Link, Allison (Caleb) Gianotti, Matthew and John Terrana.
Above all, Carmine cherished his family. He was happiest when the house was full—grandchildren laughing and everyone gathered at the table for one of his Sunday dinners. His love for sports was lifelong; whether cheering on his favorite teams or attending his grandchildren’s games.
Carmine enjoyed traveling, finding joy in exploring new places with his family. Together, they visited many islands and enjoyed yearly visits to Myrtle Beach, collecting stories and memories that they lovingly shared with everyone around them.
Please join us in celebrating Carmine’s life on Tuesday, November 25, from 4-8pm at St. James Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Birthright at 1134-A Wantagh Ave, Wantagh, NY, 11793, an organization close to Carmine’s heart.
