Charlene Holbrook

Charlene Marian Holbrook, age 72 years old, of Centereach, NY sadly passed on while surrounded by her family at home after battling a lengthy illness on June 1st, 2023.

    Charlene was born on July 18,1950 to Marian Virginia Schilpp and Seaton Henry Stenard in Bayshore, NY. She is survived by her husband David Michael Holbrook, daughter Michelle Marie Holbrook and grandson Gavin Smith.

    Charlene grew up in Smithtown, NY with her parents and late, beloved brother Wayne Stenard. Charlene attended Smithtown Central High where she graduated in 1968. She was a talented art student and fond of studying German.

    Charlene and her husband David bought their home in Centereach, NY in 1981. They wed on May 1st, 1982 in her hometown of Smithtown and in 1983 they welcomed the birth of their daughter Michelle.

    Charlene was a dedicated employee to the IRS and retired in 2013 after serving 38 years. She received achievement awards for her dedication and outstanding performances.

    She loved vacationing, hosting barbecues & parties, gardening, country & folk music, art, Jeopardy, crafting and her friends and family. She was an avid animal lover and adored the many pets she had including her beloved pitbull Bailey. She enjoyed watching and feeding the birds in her backyard.

      Charlene dedicated her life to caring for and loving those around her. She will forever be loved and missed.
