Charles “Charlie” F. Le Cluse, 93, of Hauppauge, formerly of Hickory/Clairmont, NC and Brentwood NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Smithtown Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Charlie was born July 23, 1931, in Manhasset and raised in Great Neck, NY the son of Eugene and Charolette Le Cluse.
Charlie was a beloved husband, loving father, cherished great-grandfather and caring brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends that loved him.
In addition to his parents Charlie was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Rosamond (Thorngren). Those left to cherish the memory of Charlie are his sons William Le Cluse and his wife, Megan and Daniel and his wife Brandy; grandchildren, Amber, Tyler, Larkyn, and Sawyer; great-grandchildren, Landon and Greyson; and brother, Kenneth Le Cluse.
Charlie was a man loved to tell “dad” jokes and put a smile on many faces. He was an avid Jets and Mets fan and always looked at the positive. He enjoyed spending time with his family playing board games, working in the garden, playing with his dogs, and going for walks.
Services in his honor will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at St. James Funeral Home in St. James, NY 4-8 pm. A burial of ashes will be held at a later date in North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Northport VA Hospital or the ASPCA.
