Donald R. Osterloh

Donald Roland Osterloh 88 passed away unexpectedly on July 27, 2024. Loving husband of Elaine. Loving father to Lance, Shawn, and Dean (and Dean’s girlfriend of many years, Laura).  Loving Grandfather to Jeralyn.

Donald was devoted to his family, exceptionally generous, sensitive, and kind. Donald loved Elaine his childhood sweetheart. Married, 64 years, they realized their own fairy tale wedding and always supported each other through all of life’s challenges.  

Donald’s sometimes grouchiness was often misunderstood, and his larger-than-life presence could be intimidating, but beneath it all was a man with boundless love, great curiosity, and impeccable instincts. Anyone blessed to know Donald loved him.

Donald was a successful businessperson and entrepreneur. He was admired by all who took the time to know him. Donald loved cars, sailing, Jazz music, and the islands of the Caribbean. Later in life, Donald became a stained-glass artisan. He produced hundreds of beautiful lamps, stained glass panels, and decorative pieces. Donald’s loving family remains greedy for all of his beautiful stained-glass artwork. Donald made countless pieces for friends and family; those pieces can be found as a centerpiece in many a household.   

Don left a hole in all our hearts.
