Dorothy Rea Obituary

Dorothy T. Rea beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away peacefully on May 27, 2020. Dorothy was the loving wife to the late William E. Rea and Is survived by her children Julie, Monica, Stephen her Daughter In Law Kathryn and her Grandchildren Lucas, Phoebe, Duff and Kree. Dorothy was a true Southern Belle. She was born and raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Dorothy was a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi. Her career with General Electric brought her to Texas where she found her true love, William Rea. They were married and started their family in Texas. As Bill’s career took off they moved up and down the east coast making life long friends everywhere they lived. Dorothy had a fierce love for her family and was affectionately called “Tiger” by Bill. She enjoyed hosting parties as a true Southern Lady, gardening, her pets (2 cats and well over 20 dogs) in her lifetime. She will be missed and cherished for her beauty inside and out. She was always quick with a smile and something nice to say- and would always remind you, if you didn’t have anything nice to say you should follow the Golden Rule and not say anything at all! Thank you for the blessing of being our Mom, we know you are dancing with Dad in Heaven. We love you eternally.
