Frances Craig, age 87, passed peacefully on December 12, 2024, at her home in Lake Grove, N.Y. She was born in New York City on March 2, 1937, to Natale and Angelina Stagnitta. Frances was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Edward, and is survived by her three children, Lorraine Vassallo, Robert Craig, and Jacqueline Pandolfi. She was the loving grandmother of Dean, Dana, Justin, Kyle, Ryan, Kayla, and Nicholle, the proudest GiGi to Penelope, Isla, Cole, and Caroline. Fran was also lovingly known as “Franma” to many close to her. At the time of her death, Frances anxiously awaited the arrival of two more great-grandchildren. Fran was a loving sister to her brother, Robert, and sister-in-law, MaryAnn Stagnitta. Frances formerly volunteered at St. Patrick’s (Smithtown) in Rosary Alter Society and at the food pantry of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish in Centereach. Frances was a woman of great personal and spiritual faith who put God and family above all, devoted her daily prayers to the Blessed Mother, and lived as an example to all who knew and loved her.
