Gustavo F. Escobar

Gustavo F Escobar Belevan, age 55 suddenly passed away on April  15, 2021. He was the loving and adoring son of Jorge Escobar and the late Mercedes Escobar Belevan, Beloved brother of Adolfo M. Escobar, Brother in Law of Sonia Escobar, cherished uncle to Sabrina and Sofia Escobar and Godfather to Milagros Bendezu (whom he loved as his own daughter).

Gustavo was born in Lima, Peru and came to the US at a very young age. He first lived in Babylon Village and as an child moved with his family to Holbrook, NY where he resided most of his life. He attended and graduated from Sachem High School. He recently was residing in Delray Beach, Fl where he passed on and became another angel for his family.

Gustavo was a devoted son and dedicated his life to both of his parents. He was at his happiest when he was with his family and friends, making jokes, teasing, taking pictures and sharing old memories. The family always knew they could turn to Gustavo for those fun and sometimes embarrassing pictures or memories. Many of us would remember him holding his camera or video camera and him capturing all the shots he could. He was protective, loving and that older brother many of his cousins could rely on. Gustavo had a heart of gold and a beautiful soul. He will be greatly missed by all who survive him – Father, Brother, sister-in-law, nieces, Goddaughter, Uncles, Aunts and cousins (too many to name individually) we are all positive he is flying high in Heaven because his wings were definitely earned
