Ingrid M. Mettler

We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved Mutti and Omi, (Mother and Grandmother) of Smithtown at 89 years old. 

After a long illness, Ingrid left us peacefully, surrounded by her family, on April 30th 2023. 

Steadfast, determined and proud, Ingrid was born in Germany and immigrated to America in 1957. She was a world traveler and enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and sitting in the sunshine thinking about her storied life. 

She will be dearly missed. 

Ingrid is survived by her Brother Ulrich, Daughter Barbara, Son-in-Law Richard, and Grandchildren Stephanie and Casey.
