Jack Gribbin Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Joseph Gribbin, lovingly known as Jack, on July 27, 2025.

Born on June 30, 1934 in New York, Jack was a devoted family man who had a smile for everyone. Loving husband to Mary, his wife of 60 years - they shared an inseparable bond. Proud father of five children, he was an unwavering supporter of their individual life adventures. Jack was a consistent presence in the lives of his grandchildren and lived for the fishing trips, piano recitals and sporting events.

Jack always had music on his mind - a fan of showtunes, jazz and Irish folk. He could often be found at the piano, with a pencil and notebook as he worked through a song. We will greatly miss those melodies.

To honor Jack, Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th from 7pm - 9pm at St James Funeral Home, 829 Middle Country Road, Route 25A, St. James, NY 11780. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, July 30th at 11:15 am at Sts. Philip and James RC Church in St. James
