Jean C. Scialabba

Jean C. Scialabba, age 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at her home in Nesconset, N.Y.

She was born at home in East Harlem, New York on January 9, 1931 to Charles and Angelina Esposito.

Jean was predeceased by a husband Joseph and two sons Joseph Scialabba (age 7) and Joseph V Scialabba (age 56)

She was survived by daughters Diane Miro and Susan Varro, her three grandsons, Stephen J Miro, Michael Miro and Dillon Caligiuri, as well as three great grandchildren, Chase Joseph Caligiuri, Rhiannon Mae Miro, Lorelai Rose Miro, who were the loves of her live.

Jean was an amazing cook, her specialty were Sunday gravy (sauce), and her famous stuffed artichokes. She loved Frank Sinatra, and playing cards. Her hobbies included Ballroom Dancing and Word Searchs. She was a member of the Senior Club at her church Holy Cross Parish in Nesconset. Jean was a truly loving, vibrant person, who shared in the joys of life with others.
