Jerry Raymond Stallone of Smithtown, beloved husband, father, son, and brother passed peacefully at home on September 19, 2025 surrounded by his wife, Mary Ellen and three sons, James, Alex and Nicholas after a long battle heroically fighting pancreatic cancer.
Jerry was born on June 29, 1956, in Brooklyn New York to Nicholas and Lorraine Stallone. Jerry dedicated his life to the service of others for over 40 years as a Registered Nurse. As an RN at both Stony Brook University Hospital and John T. Mather Memorial Hospital he worked in the Acute Hemodialysis Unit providing his expertise, compassion and professionalism to all patients committed to his care. Jerry was a mentor and teacher to all those who came after him and was loved by his staff.
Jerry’s greatest love was his family and was happiest when surrounded by his wife and sons for Sunday sauce and football. He was an avid Giants and Yankee fan through and through. Jerry was a talented musician and began playing the drums at age 14 which he continued through his life and passing on his talent to each of his sons.
Jerry is survived by his mother Lorraine, sister Lorraine Sanchez (James), brothers Nicholas Stallone (Nancy), Charles Stallone (Donna), and Brother in Law Steven Schmid . Sister in Law Jennifer Spadaford (Joseph), Brother in Laws G Jeffrey Walter, Russell Walter (Jane), Timothy Walter (Janet), Peter Walter, and Christian Walter. He is also survived by 26 nieces and nephews along with 36 great nieces and nephews.
Jerry is predeceased by his father Nicholas Stallone, and his sister Rosemary Schmid. Mother and Father in Law Gerard and Joan Walter, Brother in Law Jonathan Walter, David Zane and Sister in Law Sharyn Walter.
