Judith Rogers Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Judith (Judy) Rogers on January 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Judy's greatest joy and deepest purpose in life was being a devoted mother and grandmother. She was the beloved mother of Alyse Rathjen and Stephen Lozano, who preceded her in death in 2021. Though the loss of Stephen left a profound void, Judy carried his memory with her every day, finding strength in the love of her family.

She found comfort and purpose in the warm embrace of her daughter Alyse and son-in-law Justin, along with the beautiful presence of her grandchildren—Zoey (10), Rowan (7), Carson (6), and Aubrey (4). Zoey, her first grandchild, brought a special kind of joy into Judy’s life, filling it with love and wonder. Carson was lovingly known as "the boy of the house," and his playful energy always brought a smile to Judy’s face. Aubrey shared a deeply meaningful connection with Judy, as she was born on Stephen's birthday, a bond that carried extra significance and love.

Judy cherished every moment with all her grandchildren, finding immense joy in their unique personalities and the love they shared together. She also held a special connection with her grandson Rowan, Stephen’s son, whose presence reminded her of his father in the most beautiful ways.

Judy was a remarkable woman, not only as a mother and grandmother but also as a caregiver and entrepreneur. She lovingly cared for her parents, Elsie and Clair, with patience and dedication, all while balancing her entrepreneurial spirit. She found meaning in helping others and worked tirelessly to make a positive impact wherever she could.

A part of Judy's heart was forever connected to her family’s land in St. Maarten, a place where she felt most at peace. It was more than just land—it was a symbol of her family’s roots, love, and cherished traditions.

After the heartbreaking loss of her son Stephen, Judy channeled her grief into compassion. She dedicated herself to supporting families who had experienced similar losses, founding a online social group honoring Stephen and all fallen angels, to create a space for healing and community. Her ability to turn personal pain into a force for comfort and connection was a testament to her generous heart.

Judy's legacy is one of unwavering love, strength, and selflessness. She taught those around her the importance of caring deeply, being present, and finding light even in life’s most difficult moments. Her spirit will continue to live on in Alyse, Justin, her grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In lieu of flowers, and in accordance with Judy’s wishes to honor her parents, Elsie and Clair, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in their memory: https://www.alz.org/?form=FUNYWTPCJBN.

Judy will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she loved so dearly. ❤️
