Born in 1921 to Casper and Mae Schultheis, she was baptized in the parish of St. Teresa of Avila, in the Bedford -Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. She had one sister, Mary Schultheis Gray, who predeceased her, and many nieces and nephews. Her family soon moved to Queens where she grew up in Richmond Hill and Forest Hills. She graduated from St. Joseph’s College for Women in 1941. She worked at the Guarantee Trust Company for about 10 years. She married Anthony Vaccari on April 13, 1950. They raised 5 children: Peter, Michael (Kim Paparello), Andrew, Maria (Lou Loidice), and Rosemary. (Their other child, Joseph, died a few days after birth). She has 11 grandchildren: Elizabeth Vaccari, Mary Vaccari, Anne Vaccari, Louis Loiodice, Frankie Loiodice, Jessica Loiodice, Caroline Loiodice, Steven (Micha) Mysel, Samantha (Miguel) Guevara, Sophia (Jerome Yoders) Mysel, Lillie Mysel. She has one great grandchild, Alice Rose Guevara. Lorraine Vaccari passed from this world at home on July 9, 2023. May she rest in eternal peace
