Louise Sidlauskas was born August 4th 1931 in Vilkaviskis, Lithuania as Liudvika Cesnavicius to the parents of Vytautas and Stase Cesnavicius. Her father, Vytautas was a railroad police officer in Lithuania. Louise had two brothers Algis & Sigitas. During WWII the Soviets invaded Lithuania. Her father being a police officer made him and his family targets of Soviet persecution. Louise’s family therefore fled to Germany where they were refugees. Only her brother Sigitas remained. Sigitas joined the partisan resistance against Soviet occupation. He was captured and put to death. Louise & family arrived in the U.S.A. in the late forties. Louise married Romualdas Sidlauskas who was also a war refugee from Lithuania. Louise is survived by her brother Algis and by her 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Louise was known by those who knew her selfless caring and generous person with strong Christian ideals. Louise will be greatly missed.
