Margaret (Margie) Ellen Jehle (Schmalz) of Stony Brook New York born December 5th, 1958, passed away on April 13th, 2023, at the age of 64. Margie is survived by her husband Freddie, daughters Samantha, Diana and Emma Russ, son-in-law Joe Russ, fiancés Kevin Martocci and Ethan Kannry, granddaughter Kennedy Margaret, Mother Margaret Ann Schmalz, sisters Kathy, Debbie, Tricia and brother Jimmy. Margaret was predeceased by Father Robert Schmalz and brother Bobby. Margie is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Margie was a loving wife and mother who experienced her greatest joy raising her three beautiful daughters. Some of her happiest times were spent at family functions or vacationing in Lake George. Although Margie grew up in Queens, through Freddie’s influence Margie developed a love of Oakdale. Among their best moments were late summer afternoons cruising on the bay on the family boat. Throughout her life Margie kept many close friends whether from her childhood in Middle Village or later as her family was growing up on Long Island.
Margie worked at Robert Cushman Murphy Junior High School as an office administrator where she was the smiling face that warmed students, faculty and co-workers alike.
Margie touched many hearts and will be with those who knew her forever. A void has been left but heaven has gained a beautiful angel.
