With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Maria David, known as “Princess”, on May 27, 2025, at the age of 90.
Born in Guyana, Margaret immigrated to the United States in 1978 with her family. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Margaret touched countless lives with her kindness and strength.
She is survived by her four children: Gemma “Thelma”, Pamelia “Pam”, Ann “Annie”, and Laurie. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Richlyn, Whitney, Dornelle, Derrick “Andrew”, Arianna, Simone, Crysha, Nicholas, Savianna, and Emma. Margaret also leaves behind her loving sisters: Winona “Molly” and Irma “Leila”, brother-in-law Frank, countless nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
She is reunited in rest with her son Andrew, and her sister Mildred “Teach.”
Margaret will be remembered for her generous spirit, infectious laughter, and remarkable memory. A gifted storyteller, she shared wisdom through tales from her life, inspiring those around her. In her later years, she found joy and purpose in caring for her grandchildren, whom she nurtured with unwavering love.
Margaret’s life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and the enduring power of family. She will be deeply missed and forever treasured by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
