With deep love and gratitude for her life, the family of Marge Duddleston announces her peaceful passing. She was a devoted mother, proud grandmother, loyal friend, compassionate nurse, and a woman whose faith guided her every day.
As a nurse, Marge cared for countless patients with kindness, dignity, and steady grace. Her gentle presence brought comfort to those in need, and she viewed her work not simply as a job but as a calling—an opportunity to share God’s love through compassion and service.
At home, Marge was the heart of her family. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Nancy and Janice, and a mother-in-law to Matthew. She treasured her role as a grandmother, finding joy in every moment spent with Jason (and wife Elena) and Alex (and wife Riley), Nicole, and Brianna. Her family was her greatest blessing, and she filled their lives with warmth, encouragement, and unwavering love.
Marge’s faith was the foundation of her gentle, giving spirit. She prayed faithfully, helped freely, and greeted each day with gratitude. She was the friend who listened, the nurse who comforted, and the woman who lived her faith through simple acts of kindness.
She will be remembered for her warm smile and generous heart, for the joy she found in travel and in sharing a delicious meal with loved ones, for a good glass of wine, for the love of summer days, and for the simple delight of the warm sun on her face.
In keeping with Marge’s faith and commitment to service and because she cared deeply for her community, the family invites those wishing to express sympathy to consider a donation to The First Presbyterian Church of Smithtown or The Smithtown Emergency Food Pantry.
